Rail Nut&Washer
basic information
These nuts and washers are critical fastening components in standard-compliant rail fastening systems, tasked with securing elastic clips, base plates and other parts to sleepers, maintaining stable clamping force on rails under long-term dynamic load from trains. For EU markets, the most commonly used models are Grade 8.8/10.9 flange nuts matching EN 14399 standards, paired with flat steel washers and spring lock washers. For North American markets following AREMA Chapter 5 specifications, heavy-duty hex nuts and hardened flat washers are required for heavy-haul lines with up to 40t axle load. Insulated nylon-coated or full polymer washers are also available for high-speed rail and urban transit lines, providing ≥10MΩ insulation resistance to avoid railway signal interference. All products undergo strict anti-corrosion treatment, including dacromet or hot-dip galvanized coating, passing 1000+ hour neutral salt spray tests to adapt to extreme weather conditions from -40℃ to 80℃. Anti-loosening designs such as nylon insert and crimped point are adopted for nuts, passing 3 million vibration cycle tests without loosening to ensure operation safety. They are fully compatible with mainstream Pandrol Fastclip, Vossloh SKL and AREMA tie plate fastening systems, with customizable specifications to fit different anchor bolt sizes.
