China Screw Spike Suppliers - High Shear Strength Rail Fasteners from Factory for EU EN 13481 & US AREMA Standards
Basic Information
These screw spikes, also called threaded rail spikes, are core anchoring components of EU/US standard compliant rail fastening systems, designed to firmly lock base plates, elastic clip assemblies and other parts to pre-embedded sleeves in concrete sleepers, preventing displacement of the whole fastening system under repeated dynamic train loads.
Standards & Grades
EU (EN 13481-2/EN 14399) Grade 4.8/8.8 steel; US (AREMA Chapter 5) imperial specifications.
Technical Specs
Metric M16-M27 or Imperial 5/8’’ to 1’’ diameters. Compatible with Pandrol Fastclip and Vossloh SKL systems.
Durability
30+ years service life. 1200+ hour salt spray test. Minimum shear strength of 750MPa.
For EU markets, the spikes are forged from high-carbon steel, suitable for 350km/h high-speed rails and 25t axle-load heavy-haul lines. For North American markets, they support up to 40t axle-load heavy-haul freight lines. All products feature dacromet or hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion coatings, adapted to extreme environments from -45℃ to 75℃. Insulated coated versions are available for electrified lines (≥12MΩ resistance) to avoid signal interference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Which railway standards do your screw spikes comply with?
Our products fully comply with EU standards (EN 13481-2 and EN 14399) and North American AREMA Chapter 5 regulations, making them compatible with major global rail systems.
Q2: What is the maximum axle load these spikes can support?
They are designed for heavy-duty use, supporting up to 25t axle loads on EU lines and up to 40t axle loads on North American heavy-haul freight lines.
Q3: How do these spikes perform in extreme weather conditions?
Equipped with dacromet or hot-dip galvanized coatings, they are tested to withstand temperatures from -45℃ to 75℃ and pass 1200+ hour neutral salt spray tests.
Q4: Can these screw spikes be used on electrified railway lines?
Yes, we provide insulated coated versions that offer ≥12MΩ insulation resistance to prevent interference with railway signaling systems.
Q5: What is the expected service life and fatigue resistance?
Our spikes have a guaranteed service life of over 30 years and have passed 5 million dynamic load cycle tests without fracture or permanent deformation.
Q6: Are custom sizes and thread specifications available?
Yes, we offer custom thread specifications, lengths, and surface treatments to meet the specific requirements of various international railway projects.
